Ministries

One of the goals of our church family is to provide opportunities for YOU to "plug in" and engage your spiritual gifts as a vital part of the local church body. Here are a few ways for you to connect and plug in:

Worship Ministry
Our worship thru music offers a variety of opportunities to be involved at FBC.  We would love for you to get involved.  For opportunities and schedules please check our Worship Ministry Page.

Student Ministry (7th-12th Grade)
Student Ministry is led by a team of awesome adult volunteers, who genuinely want youth to know the love of Jesus.  We are currently in search of a part-time minister of Students and Recreation.  Our students meet on Wednesday Nights at 6:00 - 7:00 PM for Bible Study and recreation, and on Sunday Mornings at 9:15 AM meet for Bible study and fellowship.

 Women's Ministry
Women's Ministry exists to introduce women to and deepen a woman's walk with Christ.   Bible Study is held every Tuesday morning at 9:30 in Room 321.   A new series begins Tues Aug 23, "The Power of a Praying Woman" by Stormie Omartian.

Men's Prayer Group
This faithful group of prayer warriors meets on Thursday mornings at 10 am in Room 202.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Supper and Homebound Delivery

Wednesday Night Supper begins again on Sept 7 at 5:00 pm.  Come and enjoy a fantastic meal and fellowship, followed by Bible Study and prayer meeting.  The cost for meals is $5 per person.  (You are our guest the first time you attend.)  Deliveries are available for homebound.  Contact the church office (256-362-8081) for reservations or for homebound delivery.   For menus click here.

Wednesday Warriors

For boys and girls in grades 1 through 6.   During the 2016-2017 school year we will use Phil Vischer's "What's in the Bible?" curriculum.  This will be a fun filled journey for the kids as Buck Denver, investigative reporter, takes them on a journey to discover truths in the bible and how it all happened.  It has been best described as Muppets meet theology!   There is also an emphasis on serving through missions, as we combine Wednesday Warriors with Children in Action.  The class meets on Wednesday nights from 6-7, beginning Sept 7, 2016, on the 3rd floor.

Discipleship Through Bible Study
Discipleship is a very important part of FBC.  We know that developing leaders for tomorrow is important and personal grow is always part of our walk with Christ. For a list of times and schedule please see our Discipleship Page.

Senior Adults
Senior Adults are the fastest growing segment of our population and a major focus of future ministry at FBC. Our seniors meet once a month for fellowship, food, and fun. In recent years, they have traveled around the state of Alabama, throughout the country and to Ireland. But they are also interested in being involved in ministry.

Talladega Child Development Center
